Launch of the 2025 Tourist Season in the Îles de la Madeleine

Îles de la Madeleine, May 22, 2025 - In a friendly 5-à-7 setting, Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine officially kicked off the 2025 tourist season on Wednesday, May 21. The event, held at the Bar des Pas Perdus, gathered over a hundred people, demonstrating the enthusiasm and vitality of the local tourism industry.

Significant Support for Regional Innovation


At the opening of the evening, France Groulx, President of Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine, proudly recalled financial support totaling $981,025 under the EPRTNT, enabling the completion of 37 tourism projects between 2022 and 2025.

New at the Tourist Information Office


The 2025 season marks the arrival of an interactive terminal accessible 24/7 in front of the offices of the Tourist Association. This tool will allow visitors to obtain information at any time, enhancing their experience on the archipelago.

An Inspiring Showcase of 2025 New Features


This year, the traditional new features showcase highlighted 19 local businesses, reflecting the richness and creativity of our community. Couldn't make it? Here are the featured initiatives:

Comité ZIP - Wetlands project with the possibility of offering training to tourism sector stakeholders.

CERMIM - Support in managing residual materials for businesses.

Boulangerie de Grandma's Bakery - Reopening with a new culinary space and tasting tours focused on anglophone traditions.

Cantine des Demoiselles - New location on La Grave with gourmet menu from morning to evening and takeaway local products.

Cédric Landry, Conteur - Intimate storytelling show at the Fumoir d'Antan, mixing humor and emotion all summer.

Centre d'interprétation du Homard - Interactive discovery of lobster, from fishing to its role in the local economy.

Festival de l'Île aux Trésors - Enigmatic and immersive trail based on local legends at Butte Ronde.

Galerie d'art Annie Morin - Original works in painting, metal, wood, and garden art on display all summer.

La Méduse-Verre soufflé - 40th anniversary celebration with the return of glassblowing classes and a summer lineup of artistic events.

La Vieille Douane - Maritime interpretation center and gallery tracing the architectural history of La Grave.

L'Exclusif - New intimate and gourmet B&B in a renovated country house.

Le Fumoir d'Antan - New ready-to-eat menu (poké bowls, sushi, ceviche, tartares) starting mid-June and fresh fish and seafood available to eat on-site or on the beach.

Les Ébourifflés, Alpagas aux Îles - Farm visits with alpacas by reservation and artisan product shop.

Mailles-en-Mer - Wool shop and friendly workshops centered around knitting and creativity.

Plein Vent les Îles - Silent and eco-friendly e-foil gliding experience over the sea.

RÉGÎM - transport collectif - From June 21 to September 14, 2025: Flexibus 7 days a week with or without reservation, new transfer point at the ATR.

Resto Bistro Accents - New seaside terrace with tent for gourmet events and renovated dining room.

Salomia - Cœur d'Herboriste - Teas, treatments, and workshops centered on plants and aromatherapy.

Sean Edma - Unique sculptures created from objects found on the beaches, available by appointment.
