They are required to comply with all the rules and regulations that apply to their sector of activity. For example, they must obtain accreditation and classification from Tourisme Québec for accommodation, and licensing by the Québec Transport Commission for carriers, on both land and sea, etc.).

If you are searching for an organization, accommodations or other Îles de la Madeleine tourist service providers who are not present on this Website, we recommend that you be prudent and that you verify that the organization has all the necessary licenses and accreditations. Such a check is not necessary when the service provider is present on this site.

Les Îles de la Madeleine share, with Gaspésie, Bas-Saint-Laurent, and Côte-Nord, an immense territory called Québec by the Sea. Bordered by 3000 kilometers of coastline and bathed by the waters of the St. Lawrence River and Gulf, Maritime Quebec has a long tradition shaped by the omnipresence of the sea, reflected through a rich and vibrant natural, cultural, and historical heritage.
