Getting to the Islands by airplane

Please note that this information is regularly updated as per the current government guidelines.

Since guidelines and directives in response to COVID-19 can change quickly as the situation evolves, we invite you to regularly check with official sources for the most up-to-date information before planning or undertaking any travels in the upcoming weeks.

As many other visitors do, you are wondering if you will be able to travel to the Îles de la Madeleine this summer?

Despite the reopening of certain regions, all Quebecers are being asked to avoid travelling as much as possible from one region to another or from one city to another. Therefore, we cannot yet confirm if you will be able to spend your summer vacations on the Îles de la Madeleine this year. We strongly recommend that you follow the directives given by public health authorities and respect the travel bans in place.

IMPORTANT

A mandatory 14-day self-quarantine must be observed when arriving on the Îles de la Madeleine. This measure will remain in place until May 31th. Self-quarantine is compulsory for all people coming to the Islands, regardless of their previous location and means of travel (ferry or plane). Special measures have been implemented for essential workers.

Accessing the Îles de la Madeleine by Plane
