Identify, Smell, Pick, Taste, Process: Gathering Wild Edible Plants
The first part of this activity will explore the food forest ecosystem and the tasty plants it shelters. We will gather leaves, flowers and fruits.
In the second part, we will transform all the picked products in order to concoct a tasty snack. The outdoor cooking workshop will be animated by Gabriel Boulianne, cook in charge of culinary workshops for children through the program Les Petits cuistots, and Gabriel Thibault, cook with experience in animating culinary workshops with children with learning disabilities as part of a project of the ITHQ.
Register your child in this activity where the development of the senses will be put to the test: identification, smell, taste, touch, learning and of course fun!
*The activity takes place behind the Havre-Aubert multifunctional center. Bring your water bottle. Parents are welcome to stay during the workshop.
The activity is offered to children 5 years old and over. An accompanying parent can also be present during the animation.
This workshop is made possible thanks to the financing of 100° and its desire to bring young people closer to the bio-food sector. https://centdegres.ca/
