Théâtre Biscornu

Travel responsibly and sustainably

The clowns from Sabordage are putting their feet in their mouths—and stepping into trouble—yet again in a brand-new episode of this theatrical madness. In this physical comedy, His Majesty's troops try once more to deport our resilient Acadians, while pirates and privateers engage in a frantic race for sunken treasure. Pitched battles, underwater exploration, and other sheer nonsense await you in this historical escapade that joyfully trips over collective memory for everyone's delight! An Original Creation: The Foutiyayaï Collectif (Madelinot clown arts) creates original works by and for the archipelago's community. Writing and Directing: François-Guillaume Leblanc, in collaboration with the clown arts student cohort. The Concept: A wild artistic venture utilizing the sets and costumes from the legendary play Mes Îles, Mon Pays (My Islands, My Country). Showtimes: 8 performances in the summer of 2026 at the Centre Culturel du Havre-Aubert. About Théâtre Biscornu Théâtre Biscornu has specialized in physical theater and gestural humor since 2007. Founded in Quebec City, the company is now based in the Magdalen Islands, the birthplace of its founder, François-Guillaume Leblanc. Together with the Foutiyayaï collective, Théâtre Biscornu has become the standard-bearer for clown arts in the archipelago. The company's productions are creative, minimalist theatrical UFOs, where mime and vocal sound effects take center stage.
