This conference invites you to discover the fascinating geological history of the Magdalen Islands. The archipelago has not always had its distinctive hook-like shape; its landscape has been formed over hundreds of millions of years through ancient deserts, vanished seas, tectonic movements, and the constant erosion of the ocean.
Cliffs, beaches, and hills take on a whole new meaning. Each layer of red sandstone tells part of the long natural evolution that has shaped the Islands as we know them today.
Presentation in French only.
