St-Peter's-by-the-sea Church

Travel responsibly and sustainably

Built in 1916, the Church was constructed using wood from shipwreck. The entrance doors, called "Gates to Infinity", are a memorial to Aaron Clarke, a resident of Old-Harry, who was swept out to sea when he tried to rescue some swimmers. The church has been deconsecrated in 2014.

Address: 866, chemin Principal, Grosse-Île (Old Harry)
