Observation of Whitecoats
At the beginning of winter, herds of
harp seals undertake their long migration from Greenland to their calving grounds on the vast ice fields around Newfoundland and the
Magdalen archipelago. In March, dramatic helicopter excursions transport you to the icy, almost surreal universe of the ice pack where you can observe baby seals -
whitecoats - in their natural environment. The immensity of the ice field and the pervading silence are awesome. Hundreds of visitors come from all over the world to witness this astounding spectacle of nature in all its glory. Your photos and memories of this trip will be truly unforgettable.
Hôtel - Château MadelinotSeal observation packages from 3 to 6 nights including lodging, breakfasts, helicopter transportation for a half-day tour on the ice field and also a guided tour of the Islands. Available forthe three first weeks of March, depending on weather conditions.
