    Centre nautique de l'Istorlet

    Centre nautique l'Istorlet is a vacation center, incorporated in 1973, in Havre-Aubert, Magdalen Islands. This social enterprise (NPO), recognized by Tourisme Québec, offers a wide variety of nautical activities, custom-made packages, camps for children, and different types of accommodations. Istorlet offers many family activities. The most popular activity is sea kayaking to visit caves and cliffs. Lessons are also available, from beginner level to expert, on the sheltered bay «Le Bassin». Windsurfing lessons are available. Sailing lessons are also available using the, Caravelle, Laser 1, and Optimist. For experienced sailors and surfers, equipment is available for rental. Also, it is possible to rent: stand up paddle boards (SUP), canoes, surf kayaks, rabaskas and bikes. Children (7 to 14 years old) who want to enjoy the different activities at Istorlet can participate in a nature class (May-June), a nautical camp or a day camp (July-August).     La Méduse - Verre Soufflé

    La Méduse is an artisanal blown glass company based in the Magdalen Islands since 1985. In the century-old building where they have their workshop, Catherine and Sophie work with a view of the sea. Over time, they have developed several original collections inspired by their maritime environment. Among others, they have a whole collection of memorial glass art available online. They therefore created blown glass urns as well as a whole series of personalized glass jewels, which incorporate cremation ashes inside (pendants, rings, earrings, marbles, etc.). A great way to give an eternal touch to your deceased loved ones. They also have a variety of pieces of blown glass for everyday enjoyment: Unique pieces, Chandeliers, Kitchen objects, Decorations, etc. La Méduse includes a shop and a blown glass workshop.     *** La Shed à Jean-Guy will not be open for the summer season 2020 due to COVID-19. We hope to have the pleasure of seeing many of you again in the summer of 2021*** 3 presentations per day: 10:30am, 1:00pm and 2:30pm. The typical marine activity on the Islands is fishing, with its language, the boats, their instruments and rigging. It is the beautiful sea, sometimes rebel with its mysteries; it is the wind with all its directions. Jean-Guy, retired fisherman since 2012, presents this sea life in his fisherman's shed. Three performances per day from Monday to Saturday.
