L'Arbre à Pains

L'Arbre à Pains comprises two craftsmen who settled in the Magdalen Islands to live out their passion. Self-taught artisans, Guillaume - the baker, and Anne-Marie- the pastry chef, will help you discover food crafts, all hand-made with love, and with a touch of zaniness. Well before sunrise, the two artists are already hard at work delivering fresh and original products made from local goods as often as possible. L'Arbre à Pains products are found nestled at the public market, every saturday morning, starting july 8th 2017. Come and discover traditional bread like the baguette and the cottage loaf, and special bread such as: La Tête de Noix, L'Olivier or Le Cacaoyer! Also check out their macaroons, cupcakes and all other mildly decadent treats to add a touch of sugar to your day! In the off season, a home delivery service is also available allowing you to enjoy their excellent products without even having to move! This service is available throughout the Magdalen Islands territory. Find out more!     LA pêcherie - LA Renaissance des Îles

    Le bon goût frais des Îles de la Madeleine - Le Marché du Village

    This market is a gathering place for the producers of madelinot crops. It is located in the new Place des gens de la mer, on Chemin du Quai, in the port area of Cap-aux-Meules. You'll browse and shop to the sound of a wide variety of music. Lunch can be eaten on the spot. Picnic tables are provided for your convenience. The market is the ideal place to discover and savour local products and delicacies. Schedule: Saturdays, late June to mid-September, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

    À l'abri de la Tempête

    À l'abri de la Tempête believes in maximum use of local raw materials in the creation of its beers. We started by using locally malted barley, then moved on to harvesting and using fresh flowers, marine algae and herbs. We use locally-grown ingredients to brew our full-flavoured, distinctive beers.
