Snow Crab

Crabe des neigesThis deep-sea crustacean has been a commercial fishery in the Islands for several decades. The fishermen move away from the coast to stretch large lockers. Snow crab lives at depths of 45 to 275 m. It is fished in April or May, as soon as the ice leaves the gulf. Fishing lasts only the time necessary for the fishermen to reach their quotas.
