    La Grave - Site historique

    This unique historical site with its traditional character and architecture, is a fascinating testimonial to the pas. Extending over and around its pebble beach, La Grave was the site of the Islands' first settlement as well as the beginning of the archipelago's fishery. You vill find a variety of activities here, all accessible on foot! Restaurants, cafés, shops, museums, marina, theatre, and different events.     Musée de la Mer

    The exhibition of the Musée de la Mer is entitled “Vivre aux Îles - Vivre les Îles”. It guides you through the history of the archipelago. It is a fascinating journey through time and all aspects of the culture of a population that bears the imprints of the sea and of island living. Scale models, artefacts, documents and photographs highlight this history and illustrate aspects of daily life, housing, fishing, navigation, shipbuilding, religion, education, commerce, festivities and various other activities. Throughout the year, the Museum offers a variety of temporary exhibits that explore subjects related to history and ethnology or to the visual arts and crafts. Fees: Seniors (60 years old and +): $7 Adults (18 - 60 years old): $10 Children (6-17 years old): $5 (0-5 years old): Free Special rates for groups available

    La Méduse - Verre Soufflé

    La Meduse is a glassblowing studio located in Iles de la Madeleine since 1985. One of the oldest studio in Quebec province, La Meduse has three glass artists: François Turbide, master glassblower, founder of the studio and glass artist for over 30 years, Sophie Bourgeois, glass artist and Catherine Chevrier-Turbide, daughter of Mr. Turbide and glass artist herself. At the studio La Meduse, you can watch the artisans at work, share their reality and experience their creation space for a moment (and for free!). La Meduse glass studio also includes a boutique area showing the works of art of other local artists. Treat yourself with unique glass creations, colorful and bright! And with a blowing glass class, if you dare. Come discover it by yourself!
