Centre intégré de développement touristique des Îles de la Madeleine

The Centre Intégré de Développement Touristique des Îles de la Madeleine (C.I.D.T.I.M.) was officially created on May 18 2004 with the signing of a partnership agreement between Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine and Canada Economic Development.

Mission

The Centre's mission is to support the tourism industry on the Îles de la Madeleine in its commitment to developing new products in keeping with international standards.

General Objectives

Ensure that the various members of the tourism industry integrate their approach within their respective sectors
Create and spearhead working committees and round tables for each sector in order to structure and develop the tourism supply (networking, packaging, strategic alliances, etc.)
Support members of Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine in consolidating and developing tourism products (cycling, hiking, wind sports, Water Trail, ornithology, etc.)
Structure and develop innovative new tourism products (flavours circuit, business travel packages, etc.)
Structure and develop the cultural product, preserve and market the distinctive qualities of the Islands
Ensure follow-up with regard to training in the tourism industry
Ensure follow-up with respect to the implementation of the overall policy concerning tourism development
Support regional organizations in preparing and running training programs, symposiums and seminars on the development of tourism products
Create a checkout questionnaire

Partners

The Centre intégré de développement touristique des Îles de la Madeleine (C.I.D.T.I.M.) was born of a partnership between Canada Economic Development and the Association Touristique Régionale des Îles de la Madeleine. The C.I.D.T.I.M. offices are located in the Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine building at 128 chemin Principal in Cap-aux-Meules.

The C.I.D.T.I.M. works in close collaboration with various local socio-economic agencies such as the Centre local de développement (C.L.D., local development centre), the centre local d'emploi (C.L.E., local employment centre), the Société d'aide au développement des collectivités (S.A.D.C. Community Futures Development Corporation), the representative of the Conférence régionale des élus (C.R.É.), the Arrimage cultural corporation and the Le bon goût frais des Îles association.
