Pink sunrise won over the visitor's heart!

Îles de la Madeleine lever de soleil

Îles de la Madeleine, 2020, February 3rd- Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine promotion team officially announces the end of its contest, "Make your choice!" and is very proud of its success.

It's the eighth time that Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine asks its followers to help them choose the cover of the Official Tourist Guide. The contest is very popular among the people who love the Islands and it also represents a great promotion towards people who are not familiar with the destination or don't even know it exists. Like each year the chosen pictures represent the Islands character of The Maggies. The followers had among the available choices, lobsters that just had been caught on a lobster fishing boat, pink sunrise and cliffs, little canton and coloured houses, fishing harbour and fishing boats with the Gabarre in the background as well as a red cliff in a winter scenery.

The pink sunrise won the hearts of Internet users with 46 % of the vote! It proves that the sunrises are very popular if we refer to the image of the previous edition which also illustrated a pink sunrise on La Grave!

This year, it is 9291 people who made their choice and about 928 new people who subscribed to the newsletter thanks to the contest. Let's not forget that the contest only lasts 10 days!

As a result of the random draw, the winner of the contest - who will receive the book of the Îles de la Madeleine by Guylain Doyle, a #fousdesiles tuque and a removable smartphone handle - is Mrs Brigitte Boulianne, from Baie-Sainte-Catherine, Quebec. Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine would like to thank all the participants for their interest towards the destination.
