Colorful and touching moments

It is to obtein visitors and Madelinots comments to customize its Web site that Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine launched the contest "My Island Moment" in October. There are more than 1,350 participants who responded to the call. Some are recent memories, others are engraved in the memory for many years. According to the experiences, we read several times that the Îles de la Madeleine are a "paradise", a "perfect holiday destination," a place "where time stands still."

What is surprising is that even if the competition invited people to share an experience, many confess that they have never visited the archipelago. Nevertheless, the majority specify that they cherish this dream and wish one day to concretize it.

Marketing agent Anne Bourgeois welcomes the results of this first fall contest: "The various visitors experiences mention the concept of time, their unforgettable encounter with the locals, the beautiful scenery, and of course our delicious local products. Although it was not the reason of this contest, I was also very pleased to see the image projected by the destination from the point of view of those who have never visited the Islands. This allowed us direct and privileged contact with visitors in addition to also confirm the great appeal of our destination to those who dream of visiting."

Needless to say that the experience will probably be renewed, given the enthusiasm of participants and very satisfactory results arising from the contest. "It's very emotional to read all the comments from visitors. Some open their heart to us. It is as if we were a family member. It's very touching to see how The Maggies are loved!" added Mrs. Bourgeois.

Several moments collected will be used to promote the destination, among others, enriching the content of various pages of the website of the destination. Some quotes will also be published in different forms on our social media.

Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine wish to thank all participants and congratulates Mr Robert Wilson from Boisbriand, who won a basket of products from the Îles de la Madeleine worth over $200, offered by Les Cafés du Moussonneur, Verrerie La Méduse, Carole Vigneau artiste en arts visuels and Rachel Drouin Creation.
