Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine presents a brand new road map for its customers

July 21, 2008

Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine proudly presents its new line of promotional items for the summer season.  One of these is the long-awaited road map of the archipelago.

Unlike its predecessor, this map now shows all streets and includes an easy-to-use index.  Another interesting new element is a detail view of each individual island on the back of the main map.  It is a simple, practical tool that people will want to have as much for its attractive presentation as its usefulness.

This new version is clear and concise. It includes a section with information on how to get to the archipelago and a complete section on environmental issues to alert visitors to the fragility of the Islands' ecosystem. The Municipalité des Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Attention FragÎles and the Comité Zip des Îles-de-la-Madeleine collaborated on the section dealing with fragile dune and wetlands environments and helped suggest ways we can help protect them.  This environmental awareness section is in line with the Îles de la Madeleine municipality's development policy framework.

In the interest of protecting the environment, Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine used environmentally responsible paper for this document, as it did for the Bike and Hike Map and the Water Trail Map.

You can obtain the Îles de la Madeleine road map ($4.95 + tax) by calling Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine during regular office hours at our toll-free number:  1.877.624.4437 and charging it to your credit card.

As a complement to the new road map, Tourisme Îles de la Madeleine's colours will be featured in new postcards and a new poster that will be presented this summer in the tourist information office.
