Getting to Les Îles by Ferry

To travel to the Îles de la Madeleine by road, visitors must go to Souris (Prince Edward Island) and take a ferryboat to the archipelago. The ferry crossing takes 5 hours. Please note that all passengers must have a reservation to get on board (including pedestrians and cyclists). For more information or reservations, please visit CTMA Ferry's website.

Road Tips

• Sign up for CTMA Schedule Change Alerts a few days before departure ! You'll be notified of any ferry schedule changes.
• Remember to adjust your time upon entering New Brunswick. The Îles de la Madeleine are in the Atlantic time zone, one hour ahead of other regions in Quebec.
• Please note that crossing the Confederation Bridge from Prince Edward Island incurs a toll fee. The toll cost varies depending on the type of vehicle used. Cyclists and pedestrians are not permitted on the bridge. Shuttle service is available. For more information and to check travel advisories, visit the Confederation Bridge website.
